It’s difficult to quit smoking. Even those who were successful in their efforts will likely say it was incredibly difficult. There are a many methods to try and quit smoking. If you aren’t successful with one, try another. It’s imperative for your health (and the health of those around you)that you quit smoking as soon as possible. Always check with your doctor before starting any non-smoking program.

I do not smoke cigarettes because it would kill me. Believe me if I could get away with smoking I would. It was not like I loved smoking. But I enjoyed it. On that subject, did you know that the addiction to smoking is in your mind, your brain really. So the answer is yes you can stop smoking without NRT.

How do you choose whether to quit smoking without NRT or whether nicotine replacement therapy is your best bet? Only you really know how your quit efforts are going and how to help yourself, but many who put the nicotine replacement therapies away have found that they did much better. What works best is often a personal perception, but at least there are more choices than just NRT.

When you stop smoking without NRT you manage to keep the nicotine that your body craves out of your system for a much longer period of time. This way, when you finally find that you are on your own you are well past the physical addiction that makes nicotine so incredibly difficult to break away from. With nicotine replacement therapies you end up maintaining the nicotine within your system while you are trying to get away from the drug.
