This is a comparison of the Garmin FR60 monitor and the Polar F6 monitor. They are both considered to come from the best companies. The Polar F6 works best among a large group of people, and ignores signals from other users. This is a very original feature for the watch, and is great for people who have fitness goals to achieve.

Features

The F6 Polar Heart Rate Monitor also comes with unique functions such as the Polar ZonePointer which shows the target heart zones where your heart rate should be in. This is achieved through audible and visual features contained in the watch. It also has the Polar OwnCal and OwnCode Function. The OwnCal feature gives a reading on your energy and calories expenditure during single or accumulated workouts.

Polar’s OwnCode feature prevents unwanted signals from unwanted wireless items. The F6 shows your how long your exercise has been going for and your heart rate. The display also shows the time in 24 hours in a large, easily readable format and the battery will last an average of a whole year. Also it is waterproof down to 30 meters or 100 feet.

FR60 Garmin Monitor

The latest in Garmin’s heart rate monitors, the Garmin FR60 monitor keeps the legacy of Garmin (which includes the Forerunner and 305 and 405). This monitor comes with USB technology and an instruction guide. It’s very versatile and can be used in all kinds of situations. The ANT+ device connects it to everything wirelessly. A sensor can be connected to record training data.

Other minor features include the one year average battery life, Garmin’s software, water resistance to a depth of fifty meters and the ability to keep lap history of 100 laps. Overall, both the Polar F6 and Garmin FR60 are pretty even when features and functions come into play. Having been around for awhile, the Polar F6 has become somewhat a favorite amongst fitness enthusiasts. I am sure though that one day, the Garmin FR60 will become one of the top heart rate monitors around.
