The Massage Chairs At The Consumer Electronics Show Are Startling

I was lucky enough to take some time to go to Las Vegas for the 2009 Consumer Electronics Show or CES. The CES has every conceivable electronic device imaginable. I was interested in checking out the latest and greatest in the world of massage chairs. I was able to try a number of massage chairs and share my findings here.
There was a Japanese manufacturer of massage chairs called Family Inada. This company won the 2009 CES innovation award for their product the Dream Wave Sogno. The Dream Wave Sogno is a very advanced massage recliner with a pretty far out design.
The Dream Wave comes with an advanced air massage system. This massage chair is loaded with air bags. In addition to the normal assortment for the legs and buttocks, the Sogno comes with air bags for the arms and the neck area. I thought the arm massage was a bit weak for my personal taste. I did, however, really like the air bags for the neck area. This chair was effective for relieving my stress in the neck region.
The Sogno has an advanced seat that actually rocks in place. The seat will pivot and provide ergonomic support of your back and buttocks. This was a relaxing position for the spine. The look of the Sogno is a little egg-shaped in design which may limit where it can be placed. It was also priced at $6,000 making it a very high end chair.
Another impressive high end massage chair is produced by Fuji Medical. The Fujiiryoki recliner provides a full body massage and a shoulder press. The shoulder press is firm and provides great relief from the sides of the body during the massage therapy. The Fujiiryoki has an FDA device listing and was touted as a medical chair. This advanced therapeutic massage recliner retails for $10,000.
The massage techniques are very invigorating and relieving. The combination of good massage to the back with the rotation of air compression from the feet, calves, shoulders and seat provides for a thorough massage experience. The design of the chair is modern with black and silver colors.
Omega Massage had the Montage Premier on display. This high end massage recliner has full body massage capabilities and an array of supplemental therapies. I found the Montage Premier gave a firmer and stronger massage than the Sogno or Fujiiryoki chairs. The other interesting differences I found was the Montage Premier had heat, music and traction which the others didn’t.
The Montage Premier also can fit taller people like me better. I am 6 2 and I have trouble finding a massage chair that really fits my frame. The leg rest of the Montage Premier can be extended an extra 4 inches. The chair back is also longer than the other chairs and was more comfortable to sit in. At $4,500, the Montage Premier was a deal.
I also surveyed the entire show for Sanyo and Panasonic who have some great massage chairs. Neither of those companies were displaying their massage chairs this year. They did have some impressive Big Screen TV’s with crystal clear images. There were an assortment of other massage chairs, but they were just at the show to sell you a massage chair. I was afraid they may not be at the show next year as they seemed a bit too high pressure to buy.
If you ever go to a show to check out shows, you want to make sure that a company you buy a massage chair from will be there down the road. There are some companies that have great deals one year and then never come back to the show. Of course, there are new companies but you need to have the confidence that they will be there to take care of any warranty issues you might have.
The 2009 CES show was certainly impressive. It attracts over-0,000 people and they were out in force. I was able to get to try the best massage chairs on earth at one place. The best massage chairs were the Montage Premier, Sogno and the Fujiiryoki. These are all solid chairs with some amazing massage therapy and technology. These are the cream of the crop from the 2009 CES show.
You will find the Consumer Electronics show or CES is in early January each year in Las Vegas. This massive show brings you almost 3,000 vendors of every gadget in the electronic world. The technology is amazing as you can find big screens, to cell phones to security systems. The massage chairs are amazing as well.
